WVSA community congratulates Vice-President Christian Welzel on a new grant award!

The German Science Foundation (DFG) has granted Christian Welzel, the Vice-President of the World Values Survey Association, the Reinhard Koselleck Award of the amount of one million Euro to conduct research for the project 'The Cool Water Effect: Why Human Civilization turned towards Emancipation in Cold-Wet Regions.'

The German Science Foundation (DFG) has granted Christian Welzel, the Vice-President of the World Values Survey Association, the Reinhard Koselleck Award of the amount of one million Euro to conduct research for the project 'The Cool Water Effect: Why Human Civilization turned towards Emancipation in Cold-Wet Regions.' Part of the grant is an additional installment of 220.000,- Euro to Leuphana University. Reinhard Koselleck grants (named after one of Germany's foremost historians in the 20th century) are the German Science Foundation's most prestigious funding program for single researchers.
