The Russian Ministry of Education and Science

The support includes:

1. Representative national surveys in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgystan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia.

2. To establish a new Laboratory for Comparative Social Research at the Higher School of Economics (State University) in St Petersburg, that will analyze and interpret the data from the global WVS surveys, with special attention to Russia and the other ex-communist countries.

3. To train 25 to 30 young social scientists selected from nation-wide competitions throughout Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgystan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and the Baltic countries.
