Our immediate goal is to understand ongoing social change and to develop and disseminate social science research throughout the world. The ultimate goal of the WVS is to enable people around the world to consider various possible futures on the basis of a sound understanding of how contemporary societies vary and are changing. Shall we go ahead with another wave of the WVS in 2005?
