MPSA Annual Conference

The 73rd annual MPSA conference will be held April 16-19, 2015 at the Palmer House Hilton, Chicago. Conference presentations are organized by topic in more than 80 sections based on different subfields or areas of study. Many of these are interdisciplinary and draw scholars from different fields, providing a variety of perspectives.

MPSA 2015 Call for Proposals

Complete Panel Deadline: October 3, 2014

Paper and Roundtable Deadline: October 3, 2014

Important Reminder:  You must log in at MPSAnet.org to submit a proposal. The 2015 MPSA Annual Conference Program Co-Chairs and section heads invite you to submit proposals that reflect the best thinking in the discipline, informed by theory, research and practical application.  The committee invites proposals in more than 80 sections in a variety of formats from all political science subfields. New for 2015 is the Junior Scholar Symposium, a small group presentation format for emerging scholars. This format was well-received at the recent International Studies Association conference. In 2015, MPSA will offer even more professional development sessions, networking receptions and mentoring receptions. And we’re bringing back the popular Empire Lecture Series with even more featured speakers!

Proposals are invited for sessions in seven different formats: panels, posters, roundtables, Junior Scholar Symposium, Empire Series, working group and open discussions. Proposals must be submitted electronically. Full instructions for doing so can be found on our Submission Guidelines page.

Program participants are not required to be MPSA members, though all participating presenters are required to register for the conference and MPSA members receive significant registration discounts. After completing the formal proposal submission process, submitters will be invited to indicate interest in a variety of networking experiences taking place at the conference.

Proposals must be submitted electronically with complete information on co-authors and presentation details by October 3, 2014. Questions about the content of proposals should be directed to the Program Committee Co-Chairs or section heads. Questions about policies, presentation formats, and the electronic submissions process should be directed to MPSA staff at conf@mpsanet.org.
