MPSA 2016 Call for Proposals

The 74th annual MPSA conference will be held April 7-10, 2016 at the Palmer House Hilton, Chicago. Conference presentations are organized by topic in more than 80 sections based on different subfields or areas of study. Many of these are interdisciplinary and draw scholars from different fields, providing a variety of perspectives.

Attendees of the 2015 conference were asked what they thought of the conference, and they were quite positive:

  • Papers at the MPSA were seen as better than papers at “other conferences of this type” (by a ratio of 2.3:1) as were the discussants (by a ratio of 2.7:1).
  • Overall, the MPSA conference was seen as "better than others of its type" by a ratio of 2.5:1.
  • Over 90% of the MPSA survey respondents said that they would recommend the conference to a colleague.
