Public lecture by Pippa Norris in Moscow

On the 12th of November Pippa Norris, one the world`s leading political scientists, gave a lecture on the Electoral Integrity Project and its major findings (www.electoralintegrityproject.com). The project, based at the University of Sydney and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, aims to answer three key questions:  

  • When do elections meet international standards of electoral integrity?

  • What happens when elections fail to do so?

  • What can be done to mitigate these problems?

Pippa Norris received her Ph.D. in 1988. She is the author of more than 100 academic articles and 18 books. She is the winner of Karl Deutsch prize awarded by the International Political Science Association. Pippa Norris is McGuire Lecturer in Comparative Politics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government (Harvard University), Laureate Fellow and Professor of Government and International Relations at the University of Sydney, and Director of the Democratic Governance Group at the United Nations Development Program in New York.

The lecture took place on the 12th of November at the Faculty of Social Sciences at National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia.
