A New Report on Public Opinion in Kuwait by the Gulf Opinions Center for Polls and Statistics in Kuwait and Dr. Samir Abu Rumman

A new report on public opinion in Kuwait has been prepared by the Gulf Opinions Center for Polls and Statistics - WVSA national partner in Kuwait - under the leadership of its Executive Director Dr. Samir Abu Rumman. The report provides an extensive summary of public opinion polls conducted by the Center and addresses such issues as trust of the population of Kuwait to their family, friends, relatives, neighbours, people whom they know and people whom they never met, other citizens of Kuwait as well as representatives of other nations and religions. The reports provides information on the opinion of the whole population of Kuwait as well as stresses the different in opinion of different social groups - males and females, different education, incomes groups - and the differences between the opinion of the population of Kuwait and other countries of the Gulf and MENA region who participated in the last and most recent 6th wave of the World Values Survey.

The center has carried out the survey on a representative sample of the Kuwaiti society of 1303 respondents including individuals in the age of 18 years and older with the margin of error of 2.8%. The results of the survey has been presented in cooperation with the Kuwait News newspaper.

As Dr. Samir Abu Rumman explained in his interview, this series of reports is a part of Center's dissemination strategy: "After the implementation of dozens of studies and surveys of Kuwaiti public opinion over the past four years, Gulf Opinions Center for Polls and Statistics is pleased to collabore with various media, including the Daily News, to publish a series of reports on the views and opinions of Kuwaitis, which are concise summaries of the most important results of opinion polls carried out by the Center within international projects such as the World Values ​​Survey as well as within the framework of the projects conducted with the supprot of various stakeholders such as the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Information etc. We hope that the reports on the public opinion of the population of Kuwait will be helpful for policy makers and those in charge for decision making in the State of Kuwait. All the reports are based on the series of scientific studies of public opinion in Kuwait and carried out in a professional manner and under the supervision of the Center's team".
