"Big data-driven education reform" International Symposium held in Qufu
International Symposium on the "Big data-driven education reform" held in Qufu Normal University in China on November, 12-13, 2016.
More than 300 scholars gathered to participate in the 'data-driven education reform' International Symposium and the first China Education Data development forum. In their papers scholars discussed how modern science and big data data will boost the realization of educational reforms in China.
WVSA was invited to give 2 key-note lectures at this event on "Social values in Asia in over-time and cross-national perspective" presented by the WVSA President Professor Christian Haerpfer and on "WVS: the biggest academic survey and research infrastructure. History in China and in the world" presented by the WVSA Secretary Mag Kseniya Kizilova. Both lectures revealed interesting patterns in population's value change in China who joined the WVS program in 1990. Most recent statistical data on WVS web-site users has shown that data-users from China constitute only 3% from the total number of around 2.6 million unique individual users of the WVS web-site in 2016.
