WVS Workshop and WVS-7 working meeting in Hong Kong
WVS Workshop and WVS-7 working meeting in Hong Kong took place on November, 14 at Hong Kong Baptist University. The event was devoted to further promotion of WVS in Hong Kong on the even of the beginning of a new WVS survey wave.
WVS Workshop which took place at Hong Kong Baptist University - one of the 3 universities who constitute the WVS-7 team in Hong Kong - featured lectured of the President of WVSA Prof. Christian Haerpfer on "Social, economic, political and religious values in over-time and cross-national comparison: findings from the World Values Survey" and the Secretary of the WVSA Kseniya Kizilova on "Political Participation and Political Trust in Global Comparison: Emphasizing the Post-Soviet Eurasia".
The working meeting with the WVS-7 team in Hong Kong preceeded the workshop and allowed to finalize a number of organizational and technical issues related to implementation of WVS-7 in Hong Kong. The survey will be conducted in Spring, 2017; the sample size will include 2500 fully completed interviews conducted using the method of face-to-face interview.
The WVS-7 team in Hong Kong is organized by the Professor S.Y. Ma (Chinese University of Hong Kong); Dr. Edmund Cheng (Baptist Univesity of Hong Kong); Dr. Chan Wai Yin (Baptist Univesity of Hong Kong); and Dr. Stan Wong (Hong Kong Polytechnic University).
